Geological Characteristics And Prospecting Direction And Exploration Method Of The Aoxia Area In Jiurui-Pengshan Ore Field,Jiangxi Province

The Jiujiang Ruichang-Dean Pengshan area in northern Jiangxi Province(Referred to as the Jiujiang Ruichang-Pengshan area),located in the south bank of the Yangtze River,is an important part of the metallogenic belt in the Middle and Lower Reaches of the Yangtze River.This area is under favorable mineralization conditions in the geological setting,and has found many(>10)large copper,tin,lead and zinc,antimony,gold and polymetallic ore deposits,both in the Jiujiang Ruichang copper-gold ore field and in the Pengshan tin-polymetallic ore field.The studied Aoxia area is located in the west margin of Jiujiang Ruichang copper-gold metallogenic zone,adjacent to the tin-polymetallic ore concentration area in the south of Pengshan ore field.This paper introduced briefly the regional geological background and metallogenic conditions,the data indicate that the concealed granitic rock bodies in the area show a similar characteristic to the Pengshan concealed granitic rocks,and both belong to the "S type" granite.According to the magnetic method and controlled source audio frequency electromagnetic measurement(CSAMT)comprehensive geophysical prospecting method in the area,concealed rock bodies have been successfully found with a preliminary understanding of the spatial distribution characteristics of the concealed rock bodies in the area.In this paper,the characteristics of mineralization and alteration distribution in this area are described,and then the distribution of mineralization and alteration in time and space in the studied Aoxia area are summarized.It is suggested that the mineralization is controlled by strata,structures and concealed granitic rock bodies.According to the special geological conditions of the area,combined with regional metallogenic regularity,this paper proposes a metallogenic model and a prediction model for the studied area.and suggests that the direction for mineral prospecting in the area should be focused on the sedimentary strata of Ordovician formation.In the Aoxia-Beishanjian area,the main prospecting direction should be focused on the(stratabound)hydrothermal filling type and replacement type fluorite deposits,whereas in the Beishanjian-Beishankeng area,the focus should be in the concealed deposits of skarn type Cu-Zn deposits.Finally,this paper summarized the prospecting criteria for each type of ore deposits in this area.It is suggested that identification of the concealed granitic body,and study of the formation lithology,alteration,relationship between granitic rocks and mineralization both in time and space should be carried out,which can help to target the location of the concealed granitic body and the orebody.
