A need has arisen to assess the high bit-rate performance of the existing loop-plant in an impulse noise environment. The theme of this research is to characterise the real-time measured impulse noise data in a business PBX;Finally, a complete 2B1Q digital subscriber loop system was simulated for conditional distribution of number of errors evaluation whenever there is an impulse on the loop.
