Abstract/Summary:
A need has arisen to assess the high bit-rate performance of the existing loop-plant in an impulse noise environment. The theme of this research is to characterise the real-time measured impulse noise data in a business PBX;Finally, a complete 2B1Q digital subscriber loop system was simulated for conditional distribution of number of errors evaluation whenever there is an impulse on the loop. The DSL system performance was studied with an adaptive decision feedback equaliser (DFE) receiver only and a (1-;The impulse noise data was re-constructed and analysed for time domain and frequency domain characteristics. The amplitude and duration of impulsive events probabilities are presented with respect to the receiver threshold. Their arrival time statistics has also been displayed.
