Abstract/Summary:
This thesis presents the results of an investigation of the effects of unmatched uncertainties on ultimate boundedness of the state for linear discrete-time dynamical systems. This investigation compares the boundedness of the state in the presence of both matched and unmatched conditions on the uncertainties to the boundedness of the state in the presence of only matching conditions on the uncertainties.;For this more general system with both matched and unmatched conditions on the uncertainties, a total decomposition of the uncertainties may be bypassed and the boundedness of the state is evaluated by taking the largest possible values of the uncertainties into account.;In this investigation the boundedness of the state in the presence of both matched and unmatched conditions on the uncertainties is formulated. The results are compared to boundedness of the state in the presence of matching conditions on the uncertainties.
