Abstract/Summary:
The Spider Cage is a cubic shape mechanism made of steel tubing. It use to improve the quality and quantity of therapeutic exercises performed by patients at the Mobility Center in California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA). The Mobility Center is a rehabilitation center that helps people with physical disabilities performed therapeutic exercises. The main client Connie Wong (CSULA Professor of Kinesiology) requires the Spider Cage to add retractable or non-retractable casters, pull up bar, eye bolts, and secure the frame of the cage can withstand all loads created by the added components. This report will explain the outcomes and adjustments to the Spider Cage added components, and research of resistant bands usage to reduce weight of patient while performing dynamic rehab exercises.
