Abstract/Summary:
The main goal of the performed research is the development of a computerized method for synthesis and generation of spiral bevel gears with a predesigned parabolic function of transmission errors and a favorable bearing contact. The parabolic function of transmission errors is able to absorb linear functions of transmission errors that are caused by gear misalignment. The contents of the thesis cover the following topics: (1) The generation of gears by a tooled surface of revolution or a conical surface. (2) Local synthesis and determination of machine-tool settings. (3) Computerized simulation of meshing and bearing contact that is based on the developed computer programs.
