Abstract/Summary:
We consider the problem of tutoring concurrent programming using a comprehensive approach using such modern tools as tutoring programs. The intended audience is high school pupils and junior students.;To provide ease in grasping the concepts of the new subject the programs are based on a LOGO-like environment (this choice was determined by the wide fame of LOGO as the base for the tutoring programs), use the concept of the performer (the results of each commands are performed by a turtle) and provide visualisation tools. All of this is devoted to demonstrate the power of the concurrent programming as a new paradigm and, in particular, the concepts of the sequential-concurrent algorithms, which use the concurrent branches methods and can be applied on large multiprocessors systems.;The prototype version of demonstrating and consulting program is included in this thesis. The main aim of the program is to represent the approach to the concurrent programming paradigm in the form of an interesting game-like demonstration. (Abstract shortened by UMI.)...
