Abstract/Summary:
n this thesis I discuss the construction and initial testing of an external cavity narrow-bandwidth diode laser system consisting of an external cavity diode laser and a diode laser controller. The laser is continuously tunable, without mode hops, over a range of 11 nm, and is capable of producing greater than 13 mW of power with an expected bandwidth of less than 1MHz.
