This thesis describes in detail the successful injection locking of a tapered amplifier at 780 nm for making a high-powered, narrow-linewidth master oscillator power amplifier laser system for trapping rubidium atoms in a magneto-optic trap. The system consists of a diode laser as the master oscillator injection locking a tapered amplifier by seeding the tapered amplifier, thereby stimulating its emission to be at the master oscillator frequency with the same narrow-linewidth, measured as... |
