Abstract/Summary:
Based on the concepts of multiagent coordination, a Java-based system was designed and developed for organizational computing. Four cooperation protocols (horizontal cooperation protocol, hierarchical cooperation protocol, recursive cooperation protocol, and hybrid cooperation protocol) were designed and implemented. A mobile agent system was developed to enable agents to move among the nodes of the system autonomously to gather information from related agents. An application with a graphical user interface to simulate report generation for university administration was developed as an example.
