Abstract/Summary:
Integrating technology advances to medical office practices, an electronic medical management system was developed to provide a solution for the costly and time-consuming office transactions. When a medical practice has grown to the point that the maintenance of patient data can no longer be done manually, computing technology can be applied.;A customized office management system to support specific professional activities was developed using Corel;The integration of a myriad of office functions in a single system provides a more efficient use of time and resources, and avoids non-value-added activities. With the electronic medical management system, the average time per patient spent on paperwork is reduced by 29%. And the time spent on monthly tasks, not related to health insurance billing, is reduced by 88%. The money spent on paperwork is reduced by 68%.
