Abstract/Summary:
Wireless devices in the future must support applications that have the qualities of minimal delay and more reliability in the wireless medium. In the Time Division Duplexing (TDD) process, there is a possibility to change the load at the power source of the transceiver. The change in the load at the power supply gives rise to a drift in the carrier frequency, and this drift results in transient Carrier Frequency Offset (CFO). A low complex Parametric Evaluation algorithm that makes use of the Hankel-like matrix is used to estimate Transient CFO. The Hankel-like matrix is obtained by considering the phase difference between the two halves of a repetitive signal. Furthermore, to minimize the Mean Squared Error (MSE) of the estimated parameters in noise, a Weighted Subspace Fitting (WSF) algorithm derived from the first order perturbation analysis with a slight increase in complexity is implemented.
