Abstract/Summary:
Tracking algorithms for geostationary satellites have been studied and analyzed for better performance in noisy conditions. Step tracking in Geocentric-Spherical coordinates have been tested for convergence and compared to step tracking in Topocentric-Horizon coordinate system. Tracking error due to learning the relative periodic satellite motion, storing it, and using it later in what is called program tracking is shown to be negligible and highly reliable.
