Abstract/Summary:
his thesis presents the spectroscopic study of two diatomic molecules containing transition metals: titanium monofluoride (TiF) and cobalt monochloride (CoCl). The electronic transitions of both molecules were recorded using a laser ablation/molecular beam laser-induced fluorescence spectrometer at sub-Doppler resolution and the data were analyzed using a non-linear least-squares fitting procedure.;The (0,0) and (1,0) ;In the low resolution spectra of CoCl, two series of vibrational bands with (0,0) bands at 470 nm and 483 nm respectively were measured.
