Mobile Location Based Crime Statistics

In the last couple of years, smartphone users have increased significantly in number. In the present day, one of the easiest way to share any information or news is through smartphones. Today mobile phone users are often extensively dependent upon application to accomplish their daily needs. These applications are readable and user friendly so all the users can use them easily. In the current era everybody is also concerned about personal and property security.;This thesis implements a web application programming interface which is compatible to iOS, Android and tablets with the ability to analyze location based crime statistics. The user of this application can view the crime statistics as per his region of interest. The application is also showing the crime information in detail. The application includes features such as showing all types of crimes with different markers. The marker is chosen according to the crime category. Also this app shows the current location of the user. The application will be available soon in an App Store. I am also saving my code in Git Hub for my future reference. It is very much useful for renters, home buyers and tourists to ensure that the location is safe. Moreover, the students can also be aware of the crime around a school. The application is uses the Google Map API which is puts a point on the map by fetching the latitude and longitude of the selected location.
