The earliest relative of the modern Residential College appeared in the 13;A medium-sized midwestern university is home to four Residential Colleges, in which faculty live and teach. This study examines the relationships between Residential College environment, informal contact with faculty, and student adjustment to college in college sophomores.;This study was limited by an extremely low response rate, and it found no significant relationships between housing situation, faculty contacts, and adjustment as measured by the Student Adaptation to College Questionnaire.
