The purpose of this research is to summarize and document the beliefs and concerns of Puerto Ricans with Internet privacy. With this information, a gap analysis will be used to see the difference between what is known and what people believe regarding privacy. To examine this subject in depth a survey was conducted with a total of 102 respondents over a period of approximately two weeks; 53 responded online and 49 were manually submitted. 21% of the participants are in computer or mathematical related fields. The survey consisted of 82 questions, some of which were questions regarding demographic information, social networking, privacy concerns, e-commerce, and government agencies. All of the participants submitted their answers anonymously. |
