| This thesis examines the life of Ellen Florabell Ryset Butler during her life in Southeastern Idaho, from 1905 to 1947. Her life is compared to other western women in four major areas; belief, literature, women's work, and entertainment. These areas provide a placing of Ellen into the greater context of western rural history. |
