In 1970, Ellen Altfest was born in New York, she is a famous representational female artist based in New York. Altfest is represented by White Cube in London. She paints still lifes and male figures from life in painstaking detail. Such as domestic plants, vegetables and more recently, male models. Separating the parts of the model from the rest of the body is a way she can turn them into compositions. Her work is noted for its precision and trompe-l’?il accuracy. 1Influences include Albrecht Dürer, Jackson Pollock, and Lucian Freud and the others. Altfest’s work plays with the conventions of traditional genres: the nude and still life. Her subjects receive equal attention through a meticulous and labour-intensive approach to the act of painting. With refined and careful examination, Altfest records every crack and crevice of her subjects, radically cropping the compositions so they are charged with the impact of looking and a deadpan humour. This essay include Ellen Altfest’s a fully illustrated catalogue, information, exhibitions, films, text, views et cetera. I have a learner’s point of view outlined the Ellen Altfest painting and living in several small areas, some aspects of her sketching portraits of the creative process of research, trying to rendering out my concern Ellen Altfest.
