| The days were getting longer and longer and the complexities more and more difficult to handle. Something had to break and it was looking like it might be me.;As the ball grew in my gut and the stress surged through my blood, I thought there has to be a better way to do this. There has to be a better way to balance my career and my life, because life was beginning to erode away slowly and effortlessly like the silky sand on the Caribbean sea. I wanted, I needed my life to have meaning. I needed to find out what it was that was lacking. What was it that made my days blur into an abyss of confusion.;So began the quest...;The quest... To determine if the leadership journey can be facilitated and reflected upon through the exploration of literature.;This research project defines literature as prose and poetry with a focus on the concepts of the epic journey, the quest archetype and metaphor.
