Abstract/Summary:
Effects of Nu-Gro;Quality evaluation tests were conducted on the planting seed and on seed harvested at two intervals; first at harvest maturity, and a second delayed harvest was made four weeks later. For both harvest dates the percentage of seed with purple seed stain symptoms was significantly lower for all seed treatments as compared to the control. Results for the seed treatments were statistically equivalent. A positive effect on 100-seed weight was exhibited by the polymer and the fungicide treatment. The polymer tended to decrease viability and vigor of the lower quality seed. The fungicide tended to increase germination of the lower quality seed. Delayed harvest adversely effected viability and vigor of seed.
