Abstract/Summary:
The purpose of this thesis is to develop a strategy for campus evangelism in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This study deals with the situation of university students in Vietnam. The focus of this study is to equip the student leaders or foreign Christian workers in Vietnam to have a better understanding of campus ministry in order to create their own model of such ministry. The writer wants to demonstrate that campus ministry plays an important role in helping churches in Vietnam grow more rapidly.; This study is divided into seven chapters. The first chapter provides an introduction of the thesis. The second chapter provides a theological perspective on campus evangelism, including ministry for the lost and ministry for the key leaders. The third chapter gives a historical perspective on campus ministry. The fourth chapter addresses the Vietnamese universities and factors that contributed to the present situation of Vietnamese universities. The fifth chapter investigates the history of campus ministry in Vietnam before 1975 and after 1975. The sixth chapter suggests new approaches of evangelizing university students in Ho Chi Minh City and offers leadership training for student leaders. The final chapter is a conclusion that summarizes the thesis and suggests a strategy for campus ministry in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.; The goal of this thesis is to enable the church and foreign Christian workers to have a better understanding of evangelizing students in Vietnam.
