Abstract/Summary:
Due to the objections that has been raised to the probabilistic interpretation of the wave function Ψ and the new experimental evidence concerning the role played by the electromagnetic potentials, it is obvious that a revision of the true nature of Ψ is in order.; We ascribe an electromagnetic nature to Ψ as Schrödinger did before. We present a new relation between the electric and magnetic components of “matter waves”. With this relation we explain the interaction of wavelets inside every wave packet and on its surface. In addition we review and classify some local and non-local phenomena and relate them with more up-to-date experiments. Finally we study the Zitterbewegung and relate it with pair formation and polarization effects and its relation with the surface charge density of the electron.
