Abstract/Summary:
As the wireless technology advances rapidly, mobile phone manufacturers include various features and applications in their products such as games, Short Message Service (SMS), a camera capture capability and Internet service to attract more consumers to buy the mobile phones. Because different manufacturers may use different platforms on their products, platform-independent applications are more desired. Java-based applications have become so popular among the mobile application developers and users because an application can be developed once, and it can be run on any mobile platform. The goals of the Mobilo Java-based mobile integrated development environment are to achieve efficiency in the software engineering process and to get a robust mobile application by providing dynamic, generic components that are easy and ready to use.
