There has been minimal research in the past examining the impact of communication apprehension and predictors of preference for using new wireless technologies. This research attempts to determine any relationships between communication apprehension and the preference of using rich or lean forms of communication in addition to synchronous or asynchronous forms of communication. Survey results collected from 186 undergraduate students tended to support a limited relationship between communication apprehension and any of the forms of communication on the preference of using new wireless technologies. The results did suggest respondents had low levels of communication apprehension overall, which may be related to experience or to the emergence of a more technically savvy generation of wireless users. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Using new wireless technologies, Communication apprehension, Preference | | Related items |
