| People and business are becoming more and more aware of information privacy/security issues. Many access controls are developed to prevent unauthorized direct access. However, classified information can still be revealed though inference. This thesis describes a new query modification technique that offers inference protection for ad hoc queries. In addition to the inference protection, the solution also has the advantage of reducing administration overhead in a multi-user group environment. The technique will maintain a consistent interface between the application and the database. |
