Abstract/Summary:
Neurofeedback is a technique designed to facilitate learning how to control one's brain activity. Research in this domain suggests that neurofeedback training may have positive results in a variety of educationally relevant applications, both in clinical and in healthy populations. In this project, a stock, open-source electroencephalography processing software program (ActiView) has been modified to incorporate neurofeedback functionality. The modified program can now be used towards future research into the educational applications of neurofeedback. Gaps in the current neurofeedback research literature where greater clarification of results is needed, as well as new opportunities to use this tool for educational research, are identified.;Keywords: Neurofeedback; Biofeedback; EEG; Electroencephalography; Educational Neuroscience; ENGRAMMETRON.
