Abstract/Summary:
Ministry teams can play a vital role in helping a church accomplish its God-given mission; however, many pastors struggle with how to build ministry teams effectively. This thesis-project was designed to answer the following question: Are there necessary steps pastors should use to build ministry teams? In order to answer that question, a five-step model for building ministry teams was developed and tested at Eastland Church of God in Lexington, Kentucky. The result of the test was an increase of ministry teams from thirty-five to forty-two teams in a fifteen-week period of time.;This thesis-project concluded that yes, there are necessary steps that pastors should use to build ministry teams. The biblical basis for teams, the overview of the literature revolving around teams, the five-step model, and the results of the test are included in this thesis-project.
