This study aimed to determine the effect of electronic books on the acquisition of vocabulary and listening comprehension in preschool children. Eighteen children ranging from 4;0--5;6 were divided into two groups of nine, five boys and four girls in each group. One group was read a story on a NookRTM, and the other group was read the same story from a printed book. The results revealed a significant correlation within groups between performance on the vocabulary and comprehension post–tests. Electronic books play a role in children's comprehension and vocabulary development. |
