Majority of the work described in this thesis focuses on the design and mechanistic study of soluble precursors for semiconductor thin films, mainly CuInSe2, Cu(In,Ga)Se2 and Cu2ZnSn(S,Se) 4. All of these compounds are ideal candidates for second-generation solar cells. Besides, one chapter in this thesis is dedicated to the synthesis of copper(I) chalcogenide colloidal NCs and study of their plasmonic properties. |
