| This paper explores the subject of interactive installation art from a personal point of view and from a historical and a social perspectives, with an emphasis on feminist art and thought. The authors own art creation, that is a main part of the final project thesis, was the installation artwork "Archetypal Serenity".; This piece is examined through the creative process, personal life experiences, influences inside and outside the art-world, public reactions to this artwork, and how the assemblage of all these experiences made installation art the authors preferred artform. These areas of focus were explored in depth through the MALS degree program at Empire State College. |
