The Project Passion & Intensity: From Implosion to Explosion is a series of 9 large-scale oil paintings utilizing unconventional interpretations of stuffed animals and human forms to represent personal emotional realities. The intention was to visualize, and thereby express, the intensity of my thoughts, feelings, and pent-up, hidden impulses. A secondary goal was to subtly engage and explore universal human psychological dimensions. Used to convey both meanings are aspects reflecting excitement, laughter, and playful satire.; In figurative abstractions based on direct observation, each element, color, and stroke has a powerful meaning. Textures, movements, and forms collide and combine, creating an underlying tension; every part reflects my passion and intensity. For each work, following a period of an unconscious "emotional implosion" in which concepts, ideas, and feelings simmer, my internal struggle reaches a boiling point, or "emotional explosion," and, from that moment onward, it takes the form of a painted canvas.
