Performance analyses of ad hoc packet radio networks

The performance of an ad hoc packet radio network is considered. We examine the performance of both the single-hop and the multihop ad hoc packet radio network architectures. A throughput analysis is performed, both for the cases of narrowband signaling and wideband signaling. The link probability is also evaluated, for both the single-hop ad hoc packet radio network architecture and the multihop ad hoc packet radio network architecture. Simulations and computations are employed for the purposes of these analyses. Fertile avenues for further investigation are suggested.
