Abstract/Summary:
Adaptive Control Systems is a budding research subject in the field of Control Systems and Artificial Intelligence. This research focuses on the development of an adaptive learning mechanism that has been inspired by the biological Immune system, commonly known as Artificial Immune System. The purpose of this thesis is to study the existing algorithms and concepts in Artificial Immune Systems, improvise on them and attempt the 'randomized antibody selection' and in the process, create a more efficient and realistic immune system. The purpose of the Artificial Immune System algorithm in this case is to enable an autonomous wheeled robot to navigate itself through an environment with obstacles.
