| This thesis will explore the process of acting the role of Constantine Treplev in the show The Seagull by Anton Chekhov. The rehearsal period for this show started January 5 2009 with the production running February 18 2009 through February 21 2009. The production was directed by Roger Gross and performed in the University Theatre at the University of Arkansas. The body of the thesis will be composed of Text Analysis, Character Analysis, Character Timeline and a Daily Journal. Through these sections, I hope to expose the important aspects of my experience from preparation to performance. By investigating these areas, I hope to tell of my journey in the creation of the character through the performance. |
