This project explored the viability of creating an employee on-site, convenient care clinic on the campus of a small private college (The College of St. Scholastica) in Northern Minnesota. It examined literature about employee worksite clinics, self-insured health care plans, convenient care clinics found in retail districts, and the challenges in starting such enterprises. Based on the information that emerged from the literature, the college's pilot delivery of the clinic was analyzed, and recommendations for the future were made. The study recommends that the college should continue and expand the convenient care clinic and provides a detailed cost benefit analysis for the clinic's future. |
