| In 1989, Wlodzimierz Kuperberg conjectured that if a convex body does not permit an efficient packing, then it cannot allow an efficient covering either, and viceversa. In this thesis we settle the above conjecture in the particular case of centrally symmetric plane convex bodies by establishing asymptotically tight relations between the packing and covering densities of such bodies. |
