Nowadays,with the development of the economic globalization,outside business environment of enterprises is more complex,and the commercial competition they are faced with has become more and more fierce.In this situation,more and more managers realize the importance of encouraging and supporting employee innovation for the survival and sustainable development of enterprises.Employee innovation refers to the individual's creation of unique and valuable ideas related to products,processes,etc.,and the creative application of these ideas to practice.In the organizational context,employee innovation is an important source of organizational innovation and plays a role in promoting organizational competitiveness.Therefore,how to effectively stimulate employee innovation is generally concerned by management practitioners and academics.To this end,managers provide funds,equipment,venues and other support to employees to encourage independent innovation,but the results are not satisfactory.In academic research,the theoretical research on employee innovation mainly focuses on the influence of individual factors and situational factors on individual innovation.Among the situational factors,the leadership member exchange theory provides a unique perspective for explaining the formation mechanism of employee innovation behavior.This paper discusses the mechanism of the exchange of leadership members and employee innovation based on the theory of social exchange.Based on the review of the relevant literature on leadership member exchange and employee innovation,this paper proposes research hypotheses and conceptual models to provide theoretical basis for this study.In the empirical research,this paper designed the measurement scale and conducted a questionnaire survey.This paper obtained 1068 questionnaires through the questionnaire online survey platform,including 954 valid questionnaires.In the statistical analysis,this study uses LISREL8.7 and SPSS17.0 to analyze the data: at first analyze the reliability and validity of each scale,and then carry out correlation analysis,path analysis and hierarchical regression analysis.The results of this paper includes: Leadership exchange has a significant positive impact on internal identity recognition and employee innovation behavior;internal identity recognition has a significant positive impact on employee innovation behavior;internal identity recognition is plays a mediating role between exchange of leadership members and employees Innovative behavior;creativity self-efficacy plays a regulatory role in leadership member exchange and employee innovation behavior;creativity self-efficacy plays a regulatory role in internal identity recognition and employee innovation behavior.This paper explores the formation mechanism of employee innovation behavior based on the perspective of social exchange theory.On the one hand,it reveals the boundary of the role of leadership members exchange in the innovation behavior of employees,on the other hand,it further explores the role of the two,and enriches the theory.In management practice,companies can try to stimulate their innovative behavior by improving the relationship between superiors and subordinates and enhancing the sense of identity of employees.
