In recent years,with the development of network technology,the B2 C e-commerce platform has emerged,and its status in China’s economy and society has been continuously improved.In order to promote sales growth and achieve higher profits,various e-commerce platforms broke the traditional sales model and set foot in many fields.Due to its inherent operational complexity and complicated business models,e-commerce platforms often have problems in their revenue accounting.Revenue is also an important component of the six elements of accounting,and the accuracy of income accounting is a topic of great concern to users of financial statements.In order to make the financial reporting information more authentic and reliable,the Ministry of Finance of China promulgated the new income standard in 2017,which will be implemented nationwide in 2021.However,the new revenue standard follows the principles of the previous standard,and is still principle-oriented.There is no specific accounting guide for the B2 C e-commerce platform.The current e-commerce platform is particularly concerned with the new revenue standard in practical processing.Revenue recognition is still difficult to grasp.Therefore,based on the new income standard,this article takes the case of Jingdong Mall,a business unit of the Jingdong Group that first implements the new income standard in overseas listing,as an example.Changes,the financial impact of the e-commerce platform has brought some problems,and suggestions for improvement of these issues,and ultimately make China’s B2 C e-commerce platform to apply for the new revenue standards.This article first introduces the relevant theories of the new income standard,which lays a theoretical foundation for the following research.Then it introduced Jingdong Mall’s representative business model of B2 C e-commerce platform,and the accounting treatment related to income in each link of the transaction process.Then,this article first makes a macro-explanation on the overall impact of the new revenue standard on the B2 C e-commerce platform,and then conducts a case study on the specific Jingdong Mall’s revenue processing in sales,distribution,and after-sales links from a micro perspective What are the impacts of JD Mall,so as to propose corresponding improvements for the B2 C e-commerce platform when applying the new revenue standard.Finally,this article summarizes and enlightens the impact of the application of the new revenue standard in the B2 C e-commerce platform.
