Research On Optimization Of Development Strategy Of Yunnan HT Bank

Yunnan HT Bank is a city commercial bank in Yunnan Province.With the constantly advancing of the reform and opening-up,Yunnan HT Bank has transformed from an urban credit cooperative to an influential regional commercial bank,in the meantime participating in Yunnan local economic development.After the introduction of strategic investors——Yunnan Hehe Group and Yunnan branch of China National Tobacco Corporation in 2015,Yunnan HT Bank has achieved a leap-forward development.The asset size has quadrupled in three years.By the end of 2018,the assets of Yunnan HT Bank exceeded hundreds of billion,and external rating was upgraded from AA to AA+,ranking 56 th among the top 100 enterprises in Yunnan.However,In the process of rapid development,the original development strategy cannot keep up with the actual development needs of the enterprise due to changes in the development orientation of the enterprise itself,the following problems are exposed: unbalanced and uncoordinated development,the slowdown of growth of asset size,fast capital consumption,the poor combination strength of industry and finance in characteristic main business,the low rate of customer growth;the small number of channels,the weak support ability of middle management,the unbalanced development between the head office and branch office,and inner management needs to be straightened out.Based on the researching of literature on the optimize of development strategy of urban commercial banks in recent years,combining the international excellent research on the development strategy of commercial banks,this paper provides insight into the matters that the original development strategy can not keep up with the actual development needs during the process of rapid development and transformation.On one hand,Yunnan HT bank has advantages of industrial bank,quality shareholders,short decision-making chain,light historical burden and good relationship between bank and government.One the other hand,Yunnan HT bank has disadvantages of the slowdown of growth of asset size,less focus on advantage industry,low quality of customer,development lagging of finical technology and the single channel.Aimed at its merit and shortcoming,this paper makes clear that the strategic choice for the company,business and function levels,formulates specific feasible strategic support safeguard measures and evaluation system,which provides reference for the development and transformation of city commercial banks of the same type.
