Research On The Impact Of Economic Opening On The Urbanization Of Border Ports In Yunnan Province

Urbanization is of strategic significance to China's economic and social development.Since the reform and opening up,China's economy has developed rapidly,and the domestic political environment is stable,becoming a booster and ballast for economic development.The mutual promotion of political stability and economic development is ultimately transmitted to the whole society,thereby promoting the progress and prosperity of the whole society.While achieving these brilliant achievements,we must also clearly soberly see that countries led by the United States and some international organizations have blocked China's first island chain and second island chain.The means of blockade also vary from trade fraud to military intimidation.And enough to try to curb the development momentum of our country,besiege our country in a certain area,and prevent our country from becoming a big and powerful country with the right to speak.However,under the trend of regional economic integration,China has written the western border development and opening up into the national plan.The 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China directly mentioned urbanization in the central and western regions to the state's strategic level,thereby providing sufficient guarantees in the system.As an important base for China to radiate South Asia and Southeast Asia,Yunnan Province is extremely important for China's foreign trade development status.Yunnan Province is located in China's border area,close to Vietnam,Myanmar and Laos.Its development is of great significance to actively integrate into the "Belt and Road" construction,expand opening up,regional economic development and the implementation of the Belt and Road initiative.Under this environment and based on the support of related theories of border port urbanization,this paper qualitatively analyzes the development status of border port urbanization in Yunnan Province and its impact in the context of economic openness,and selects 12 years of data from 2007 to 2018 to build a panel data model.Quantitative analysis of the specific impact on port urbanization under the background of economic opening.First of all,this article takes Yunnan Province's border ports as a foothold.Based on the size of all border ports in Yunnan Province,the four representative ports in Yunnan Province(Ruili,Jingcheng,Modao,Hekou)where Dehong,Xishuangbanna and As a research object,the three cities of Honghe used time series to make a quantitative analysis of the urban development status of these three cities,and based on the research of relevant scholars,combined with statistical yearbook standards,a comprehensive evaluation index system for port urbanization was established..And collected 12 index data of the three cities from 2007 to 2018 for a total of 12 years.With the help of Excel software,the entropy method was used to comprehensively evaluate the urbanization level of the three cities.Depth analysis of Dehong,Xishuangbanna and Honghe prefectures in the process of urbanization.Based on the theories of border port urbanization construction and the specific status of the development of border ports in Yunnan Province,it analyzes its impact on the border port urbanization in Yunnan from five aspects: economic growth,industrial structure,space structure,human capital,and domestic policy system support.influences.Then Stata software uses the data of the three cities of Dehong,Xishuangbanna and Honghe Prefecture from 2007 to 2018 to build a panel data model.The level of urbanization of border ports in Yunnan Province is used as an explanatory variable,and opening to the outside is used as an explanatory variable.The level of trade openness,GDP,and urbanrural income ratios were used as control variables to empirically analyze the impact of economic opening on urbanization of border ports in Yunnan Province.Based on the analysis results,suggestions are made.Through research,it was found that the level of urbanization of border ports in Yunnan Province has steadily increased from 2007 to 2018.According to the research data,supported by relevant theories,the study found that although the levels of urbanization in Dehong,Xishuangbanna,and Honghe Prefectures are increasing,they still face many difficulties such as difficulty in attracting investment and backward transportation infrastructure;Opening up promotes the urbanization of border ports in Yunnan Province through economic growth,industrial structure,spatial structure,human capital,and domestic policies and systems.Among them,the level of openness to trade,economic growth,and narrowing the gap between urban and rural development have significantly promoted it.Based on the conclusions of this research,this article puts forward relevant suggestions from various aspects such as improve trade openness,overall urban-rural development,deepening exchanges and cooperation with ASEAN countries,seeking domestic policy and institutional support,and promoting economic growth.Studying the impact of urbanization of border ports in Yunnan Province under the background of an open economy will not only help the construction of border ports in Yunnan,but also contribute to the overall economic development of Yunnan Province.It also enriches the relevant concepts of China's urbanization construction,so that China can better implement the urbanization strategy.
