| In this era,innovation is the driving force behind organizations’ development.As the actual initiator and executor of innovative behavior,how to stimulate the creativity of employees effectively and promote the generation of their innovative behavior has become a hot issue concerned by academia and the business community.Based on the Conservation of Resources theory(COR),this study explored the cross-level effect of team virtuousness on employee innovative behavior,and further verified the mediating role of group internal social capital and employee individual psychological capital.In conducting a survey of some companies in South China,this study used multi-stage and multi-source data collection methods to obtain dyads data of 68 team leaders and 301 subordinates.The hypothesis of this study was verified by applying the Multilevel Structural Equation Model(MSEM)and Monte Carlo method.Empirical results showed that:(1)team virtuousness was positively related to employee innovative behavior;(2)team level internal social capital and individual level psychological capital mediated the relationship between team virtuousness and employee innovative behavior.This study not only enriches and improves the literature related to team virtuousness and employee innovative behavior by multi-level analysis,but also provides a new theoretical perspective for the research of influence mechanism of employee innovation behavior.Furthermore,this study also plays a guiding role for the management practice in Chinese context.At the end of this paper,we discussed the shortcomings of this study and provided further practical insights for future research. |
