Commercial banks firmly occupy the core position of the financial system at home and abroad, and play an indisputable role in the rational allocation of resources. With the introduction of strategic capital and the deepening of stock reform in domestic commercial banks, the ownership structure of commercial banks is becoming more and more important for their own transformation and performance optimization,so the research on the ownership structure of commercial banks is becoming more and more enthusiastic. However, after more than 20 years, the restructuring of domestic commercial banks has doomed that the ownership structure of commercial banks has its own plasticity, which has formed a management model from the top to the grass-roots level, and its business development tends to policy management, which is incompatible with the situation of market competition. This is a widespread criticism of the equity structure and policy intervention in commercial banks. Therefore,a deep-seated study of the ownership structure of commercial banks, subject in-depth understanding of the impact mechanism of comprehensive performance of commercial banks,is of great benefit to the current stock reform.Based on this, this paper analyzes the mechanism of the equity structure of listed banks on their comprehensive performance.Firstly,on the basis of clarifying the mechanism of the impact of the ownership structure of commercial banks on performance, this paper analyzes and summarizes the impact of the ownership structure of commercial banks on performance at home and abroad.Secondly, due to the different development processes of the world's major economies, this will bring different levels of impact on the overall performance of commercial banks.Starting with the status quo of commercial banks after the stock reform, this paper analyzes the impact of the ownership structure of domestic listed banks on their performance.Based on the existing literature, this paper summarizes the nature of equity, concentration, checks and balances of the three dimensions of the impact of factors, and combined with the domestic 14 commercial banks in 2009-2017 equity structure, performance and other data,to make a preliminary analysis of the current situation of domestic commercial banks. At the same time, the necessary descriptive, collinear and panel data regression are carried out with the help of integrated data to make hypothetical demonstration on the ownership structure and comprehensive performance of domestic listed banks. The study shows that the equity nature of domestic listed banks plays a negative role in comprehensive performance. The degree of ownership concentration of listed banks plays a negative role in comprehensive performance. The balance of ownership of listed banks plays a positive role in comprehensive performance. Finally, according to the empirical results, the paper puts forward constructive suggestions on optimizing the ownership structure of domestic listed banks.First, promote the construction of diversified equity structure.Second, efficient governance of equity structure through the rule of law.Third, the introduction of strategic capital and other external governance mechanisms,in order to optimize the ownership structure of commercial banks, and ultimately enhance the overall performance of commercial banks.
