Henan Agricultural Development Bank Supports Research On Rural Economic Development

With the implementation of China’s rural revitalization strategy and the approaching of building a moderately well-off society in all aspects,some prominent problems in the development of rural economy need to be urgently resolved,such as upgrading the supply of agricultural products,targeted poverty alleviation,expanding the income channels of farmers,imperfect infrastructure and so on.At this stage,the key areas and issues of rural economic development are public goods or quasi-public goods.Therefore,as a way of national macro-control,the policy finance supports the development of national economy,especially the agricultural development bank’s support for rural area’s development is very important.This paper starts with the basic theory of the emergence and development of agricultural policy finance,and explains the key areas of the development of rural economy in Henan.Agricultural policy finance plays a positive role in promoting rural economic development in Henan,and it is still appropriate to face the shortcomings of rural development in the new era.Secondly,this paper analyzes the role of Agricultural Development Bank of Henan Branch in supporting rural economic development in Henan in an empirical way.Henan Agricultural Development Bank has achieved remarkable results in supporting grain purchases,agricultural infrastructure construction,targeted poverty alleviation,and rural ecological environment construction,and also forms typical practices and characteristics consistent with regional economic development.Henan Agricultural Development Bank has played a huge role in supporting Henan’s rural economy.However,in the course of development of Henan Agricultural Development Bank,there are problems in development: insufficient business coverage,inadequate support and guarantee policies,insufficient innovation of financial products,increased credit risk,and credit business personnel tend to be conservative in terms of loan placement.Finally,in response to the problems of Henan Agricultural Development Bank in supporting rural economic development,specific solutions are proposed: expanding the business scope of agricultural distribution business,strengthening product innovation,improving supporting policies,doing risk prevention and resolution work,and speeding up rural financial ecological environment construction.
