| The construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is about to reach a new level with the issuance of the “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Development Plan”,and it is expected to become an important space carrier for China’s participation in global competition.Finance as the core of the modern economy,the accumulation of financial industry will be conducive to the improvement of the comprehensive strength of the Greater Bay Area.Therefore,this research focuses on the financial industry cluster and it’s radiation effects in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area,and provides a certain reference for regional financial development planning.According to the exploratory spatial data analysis and spatial econometric model,there was significant financial cluster in 11 cities in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area from 2010 to 2017.As the results,the economic background,investment consumption,government purchasing power,openness,the development level of the three major financial sectors,human resources and infrastructure are the main influencing factors of the financial industry in the Greater Bay Area.After measuring and ranking the degree of financial industry clustering of the Greater Bay Area,the empirical results show that Hong Kong,Shenzhen,Macao and Guangzhou have obvious radiation effects.Their radiation coverage covers all cities in the Greater Bay Area,and have different radiation intensity for different hinterland cities.In order to give full play to the role of the four central cities and achieve misplaced development,this research believes that the interior of the Greater Bay Area should be divided into "Hong Kong-Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou","Hong Kong-Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhongshan-Zhaoqing","Hong Kong-Macao-Zhuhai-Jiangmen" three major areas to carry out financial industry development planning,and proposed targeted countermeasures for different regions. |
