At present, the national purchasing power continues to rise, leading to the rapid development of the credit card industry. With the increase of people's consumption quota and overdraft quota, the situation that credit card holders can not repay in time is also increasing. In this case, the development of domestic credit card business is facing enormous challenges and risks, which requires maintaining the balance between credit card revenue and risk, and reducing the occurrence of tilt problems. Therefore, this paper makes an in-depth study of the factors affecting the risk of credit card default, and the conclusions will bring practical significance to the development of credit card business in China's banks.Firstly, this paper outlines the theoretical basis of credit card default risk, summarizes the research results of scholars at home and abroad, and applies them reasonably to practical research, and makes research and Analysis on credit card default risk at home and abroad from both theoretical and practical aspects.Secondly, from the perspective of the repayment ability and willingness of users, the paper chooses the data of card transactions in the period of 2015-2018 as the sample, and chooses 1000 relevant data as the data for this analysis. To determine whether the interpreted variables are breach of contract or not, there are seven explanatory variables including cardholder's gender, age, occupation, marital status, residential nature, educational background and grade.Through SPSS 22.0 data processing and analysis,a Logistic regression model is established to study the factors affecting credit card default risk. Finally, according to the analysis results and the actual situation of domestic credit card business, risk prevention and suggestions are put forward from the aspects of pre-issuance,use and post-occurrence,which provides a solid theoretical basis for commercial banks to develop credit card business. This study shows that the occupational types and housing conditions of credit card holders have a significant impact on credit card default risk,so banks should pay attention to the detailed records of the above two information when evaluating credit card holders' default risk;the age and educational background of credit card holders will also affect credit card default risk, and banks need to strictly control credit. The risk of credit card default is not significantly affected by the gender of card holders, whether they are married or not,and their positions, which can be relaxed appropriately.
