Recently,with the development of economy,science and technology,people's living standard improves continuously.The requirements of the buyers at home and abroad on product quality,functionality,safe capability and environmental protection capability are growing higher and higher,which motivates the quality inspection and testing industry to develop rapidly around the world.In order to occupy more and more market share during the fierce competition,the third party inspection and testing companies formulate customized marketing strategy based on their own expertise,establish systematical quantity control system internally and keep improving it continuously,to meet the latest standards of the market.A good comprehensive quality control system will help the company to take over more market share;meanwhile,the market demands will speed up the improvement process of the quality control system.The competitive third party inspection and testing company P was facing some problems like having no clear quality managnement target,organization chart is not complete,business scope is limited,operation standards are not classified enough,being short of professional staff,working process is not procise enough,lacking of self-evaluation and audit system.In order to improve this status,company P introduced and deployed ISO9000 Quality Management System internally.With this development guidelines,company P makes a lot of changes internally.After more than ten years' development,compmany P has become a well-know third party inspection company,owning more than 2000 professional employees,providing product inspection,factory audit and lab testing services for the clients of more than 120 countries around the world.While winning the internally recognition,company P also has obtained well economic benefits.In this thesis,the study on the development of quality control system in company P,the problems they face,the strategy and solution they adapt,and the achievements they've received is based on the theoretical basis of ISO9000 Quality Management System.In company P,there are some obvious quality management issues including inspection or audit is not fully finished like some requests are missing or samples checked are not enough;the inspection or audit report is not complete,clear or released on time;the customer's reference sample is delayed or lost;the engineers and experts are not enough,being always short of manpower during peak season,which affects the inspection and audit capacity and capability a lot.Considering all of these problems,according to the theoretical basis of ISO9000 Quality Management System,especially the eight well-known quality management principles,including customer focus,leadership,involvement of people,process approach,system approach to management,continual improvement,factual approach to decision making and mutually beneficial supplier relationships,by adapting the surverying method,document inverstigation method,system analysis and causal method,the thorough analysis is performed on its working process,the quality control problems and the related hidden reasons.As per this ananysis result,five main improvement plans are formulated from five aspects: management responsibilities,document requirements,monitoring and measurement,resource management and continual improvement.At last,the improvement results are also analyzed in depth from three angles including business service content diversification,customer satisfaction and operation efficiency.It will provide a guidance and reference for the small and medium-sized inspection and testing companies on how to establish their own quality control system according to characters of market demanding during intense competitionAt present,the research on the quality control system in domestic mostly focuses on the inspection or quarantine departments of state-owned enterprises,or the laboratories with single business type,but seldom focuses on the small and medium-sized inspection and testing institutions providing comprehensive services,especially the foreign enterprises in China.The object of this study is the representative of this group.Although it faces many problems like many domestic small and medium-sized inspection institutions,this enterprise can stand out in the fierce environment,which is inseparable from its adherence to the principle of self-examination and continual self-improvement,which is exactly what many local enterprises lack or are willing to invest.Meanwhile,under quality management system improvement scheme,there are two important contents,namely,strengthening the ability of resource integration and improving information management.While the high level of information management distinguishes company P from all other enterprises in the same industry.It penetrates into every step of the whole business process,and truly provides simple,fast and convenient services to customers,which greatly enhances the stickiness of customers.This is also a perfect performance of information management in the construction of enterprise quality management system.It is also the difficulty that many local SMEs hope to overcome but have been unable to achieve.With the help of this research,I hope to provide some reference and inspiration for local small and medium-sized inspection enterprises which are experiencing similar difficulties.
