Since the reform and opening up,China has witnessed the unique phenomenon of "scholar into business".Nowadays,talents and technology have become the core competitiveness of the country and enterprise development.China has successively promulgated a series of policies to encourage enterprises to carry out research and innovation,including encouraging school-enterprise cooperation to strengthen the scientific and technological achievements transformation,and calling on university teachers and researchers to enter the enterprise part-time or self-employed.It can be seen that university teachers and researchers are crucial to the company's innovative research and development activities.However,relevant research in the academic community has yet to be enriched..Therefore,this paper studies the impact of Executive Academic Experience on Enterprise Innovation Performance.This paper takes the A-share listed companies from 2008 to 2018 as a sample to study the impact of Executive Academic Experience on Enterprise Innovation Performance,and attempts to analyze the influence path of Executive Academic Experience and Enterprise Innovation Performance.Furthermore,this article analyzes the adjustment effect of the background characteristics of dual role of the board chairman.Finally,according to differences in the executives' rights and innovation level of Enterprise Innovation Performance,further research has been carried out.Based on the empirical analysis results,the paper draws the following conclusions:(1)When the proportion of executives with academic experience in the corporate executive team increases,the Enterprise Innovation Performance will increase significantly;(2)Based on the "feature-behavior-consequence" mechanism,the executive team's decision-making behaviors of employee training and R&D investment play a partial intermediary role in the path of Executive Academic Experience on Enterprise Innovation Performance;(3)Under the background characteristics of dual role of the board chairman,the problem of corporate agency about technology development is reduced,the Top Management Team's right as a whole to speak further increased,and the senior management team will be more inclined to make decisions that are conducive to the enterprise technology research.At this time,the impact of Executive Academic Experience on Enterprise Innovation Performance will be more obvious;(4)Findings from further research,the Executive Academic Experience will significantly promote the Substantive Innovation Output of enterprises and enhance the level of invention patent output of enterprises.At the same time,the CEO is a key position in the senior management team,his Academic Experience will also significantly promote Enterprise Innovation Performance and Substantive Innovation Output,and will be more influential than ordinary Executive Academic Experience.The research content of this paper put forward reasonable suggestions for the innovation activities of enterprises and the selection of senior management teams.It also provides some reference about the transformation of research results for universities and scientific research institutions.
