Research On The Investment Selection From Africa As A Multi Attribute Decision Making Using Complex Network Integrated PROMETHEE ?

Over the classical and contemporary years,there had been numerous FDI from developing and developed countries on the African continent,what is the motivation and the drive behind these huge investment in these African countries? What are the criteria in selecting these African countries for such enormous huge investment? Is there any systematic and scientific approach in selecting the right country for these investment? This research provides a systematic and a precise scientific approach for selecting the right country for FDI.The objective of this study is to select the best country for investment among ten African countries(Ghana,South Africa,Morocco,Sudan,Nigeria,Kenya,Tanzania,Egypt,Ethiopia and Angola)as a home for foreign direct investment.This study suggest a methodology based on a combination of Basic Complex Network and Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations(PROMETHEE II)for selecting the right country for investment.Sixteen determinants were given by the decision makers as the criteria for selecting the best country for investment,namely: interest rate,unemployment rate,terrorism index,producer prices,inflation,corporate tax,infrastructure,international shipments,sales taxes,logistics competence,military expenditure,temperature,political instability,GDP,corruption index and population of the countries.The determinants are presented in a network diagram based on the relationship between the determinants,Basic Complex Network is employ to calculate the properties of the nodes(the degree centrality,the betweenist and closeness centrality).PROMETHEE II is employ to calculate the weights of the criteria,rank and sort the criteria based on the results from complex network attribute values.The data presented by the decision makers on the scores of the alternatives are normalized into beneficial and non-beneficial criteria and the results from PROMETHEE II is used as weight on the decision makers score to rank,sort and select the best alternative country as a home for investment.The results showed that Nigeria won the best country as home destination for investment.Morocco,Angola,South Africa,Egypt,Tanzania,Ethiopia,Kenya,and Ghana follow Nigeria sequentially.
