Optimal Order Quantity Decision Under Uncertain Demand-Guangyun Technology Firm

With the economic reform and open up,especially in the new century,China's electronics manufacturing industry has ushered in opportunities for rapidly development.In this case,the market environment are characteristics for changing: rapidly,greatly and diversity.This requires that during the development of the electronics manufacturing industry,it becomes very important for enterprises to use scientific,reasonable,and advancing management methods and management concepts to keep up with the times.It is beneficial for manufacturing enterprises to improve management methods and enhance their own market competitive advantages when facing market difficulties.In the supply chain system of enterprises,the order decision is one of the important links to the overall efficiency of the enterprise.How to solve the problems in the ordering process has important value for the enterprise to improve the overall management level.A large number of studies have shown that under uncertain market demand,companies make optimal ordering decisions by improving information sharing,incentive mechanisms,and ordering models.Guangyun Technology Firm,a new type of electronic manufacturing enterprise,has ushered in development opportunities in the overall context.This study analyzes the actual cases about Guangyun Technology Firm,summarizes the current faced problems,and then proposes corresponding countermeasures based on information sharing,contract incentive mechanism and ordering model.Through the analysis of the case,it was found that the company had the following problems.(1)In the process of cooperation with new product suppliers,the information sharing between the company and the supplier was incomplete,making it impossible for both parties to understand market information more accurately.(2)There is no effective incentive mechanism between the enterprise and the supplier,which leads to the lack of enthusiasm of the supplier.(3)The service level of the company's employees is low,which damages the company's reputation image.(4)The professional skills of the firm's employees are low and they cannot master new management methods and technologies.(5)The firm's ordering model cannot adapt to the new market environment,resulting in inconsistent orders and market demand.This study puts forward the corresponding suggestions and countermeasures for firm related problems by sorting out the concept of order quantity,the improving order model(including newsvendor model),the information sharing,and designing the revenue sharing contract mechanism.(1)Guangyun Technology Firm could establish deeper strategic partnerships with suppliers.(2)Improve the management philosophy and management methods of employees and the firm.(3)The company should use a more scientific model to make order decisions.The research in this paper has drawn some management implications.(1)This study provides valuable management suggestions and countermeasures for Guangyun Technology Firm to solve the current faced problems.(2)It is conducive to the innovation of the management mechanism and management concept of the firm,and has brought new management methods to the firm.(3)It is conducive to improving the profits of firms and partners,promoting the sales of new products and expanding the market for new products.(4)It is conducive for enterprises to improve their competitiveness in the same industry and provide rich management experience for the same industry.(5)Enrich relevant case literature.
