Biobank is a biological application system that preserves a variety of human biological materials and can receive,process,store and distribute biological samples and related data for the clinical treatment of diseases and life science research.The important achievements in scientific research,especially in medical research,around the world are inseparable from the great advances in sample collection and storage.European countries first started to establish biobank in the 1970 s,and the number of biobanks began to increase on a large scale in the 1990 s.China's domestic biobanks are also developing rapidly,with more than 10 biobanks with a scale of more than 1 million samples,such as Beijing Fu Wai hospital,West China hospital of Sichuan University,Zhong Guan Cun Biological Bank,etc.Although the biobank construction around the world is in full bloom,the degree of automation is not high.Most of the biobank is stored and recorded manually,and there are many problems such as uncontrollable sample quality,low operation efficiency,high security risk and difficulty in ensuring the accuracy of the data.Only through intelligent and automatic preservation,the whole life cycle of biological resources can be managed,so as to ensure the quality and realize the value of preservation.At present,there are only a few suppliers who can provide intelligent and automatic storage equipment and solutions at home and abroad.Genepoint is a manufacturer and service provider of automatic biobank products in China,focusing on the innovative development,technology application and process management of deep and low temperature biological sample field.Based on the analysis of the development status of Genepoint,this paper finds that Genepoint has four major problems: low brand recognition and market share,large R&D investment,slow capital flow,lack of complete supply chain of deep and low temperature products,slow progress in expanding the international market,then it analyzes the reasons for the problems.This paper analyzes the external environment,industrial competition and internal environment of Genepoint by literature analysis and empirical research and combining with the theoretical basis and model of enterprise strategic management.Then,the SWOT matrix was used to analyze the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of Genepoint,and it was found that Genepoint biotechnology co.,ltd.not only has the technical advantages that other similar competitors cannot surpass in a short time,but also has a strong research and development capability and a professional team.The development of cell therapy,precision medicine and big health industry,as well as the attention paid by the government and scientific research institutions at home and abroad to the construction of biobank,make the biobank industry have a broad development prospect.However,Genepoint itself also has the problems of low market share and low brand recognition and is threatened by the suppliers of automatic biobank and traditional cryogenic storage equipment in the same industry.The development goal and strategic choice of the company are determined,and the implementation plan and safeguard measures are put forward.Genepoint should adopt market penetration and market development strategy,lock the domestic market,actively expand market share,and look for opportunities to expand the international market.As a high-tech enterprise with leading technology,it can survive in the domestic and international markets,and develop healthily and rapidly to become the world's leading supplier of products and services of deep and low temperature automatic biobank.
